About Leilah Vyner

I am a traditional craft business aiming to encourage others to enjoy willow weaving and green wood working. I foster an environmentally minded ethos in all my activities and my workshop is near Tadcaster in North Yorkshire. I have been weaving willow since 2000 and running my business since 2010.

Learn to Willow Weave

I run willow sculpture and basket workshops with the aim of encouraging people of all abilities to have a go at making something unique and special that will last for many years. I also accept commissions for bespoke willow items from willow pod chairs, sculptures, baskets and coffins.

Our Shop

I make a small amount of items to sell directly which can be seen and bought through my online shop. Predominantly I work by commission but you never know what might be for sale in my shop. If you’d like to purchase something but cant see it then email me directly.

Home Grown Willow

I grow some of the willow I use on two coppices and have many different varieties for different uses from basketry, hurdle and decorative willow, I also use willow bought from Somerset to make my products. Part of the fun and uniqueness of my baskets and sculpture is in my willow. I’ve planted the cuttings, harvested the rods and then been able to turn the rods into useful or decorative items. It is a sustainable and flexible crop and every willow rod has exciting possibility.
